Project Description
Telenor Group is one of the world’s major mobile operators with 166 million mobile subscriptions. We have mobile operations in 13 markets and in additionally 17 markets through our ownership in VimpelCom Ltd. The company has a strong footprint in Central Eastern Europe and Asia and a leading Nordic position in mobile, broadband, Internet and TV services. Telenor Research, which represents the Telenor Group in this proposal, is one of Norway’s largest research and innovation organisations within ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The project targets on a by-design end-to-end security and safety framework for critical communication infrastructure will be crucial for Telenor as a global mobile Internet service provider. Robustness, Relience and other security related issues play a crucial role in all business creation and are therefore highly interesting for the company.
